    Broke my leg

and if you break your arms then good luck using a cell phone anyway ;) Sorry to hear about your broken leg... heal up quickly (I would try to send you healing vibes, but I think my vibes work in reverse because my collarbone took forever to heal when I broke it (riding with Skookum :D ))

    Some Pics SST 3/18/06

Holy cow! I really need to head back over to SST... I haven't been in so long and now everything looks completely different. Now that I've trail tested my new bike on Cleator (Downhill trail up near Mt. Vernon) and a few laps out at St. Edwards I figure it's ready for some SST action.

Ok, so here's the photo I promised. New brakes (calipers, rotors, levers), new seat, added the front shifter. Now I'm ready to roll!

    My new all-around bike!!

So I guess I'm going to have to take another photo of my new bike tonight. I managed to get a super-good deal on a front shifter so I set up the front derailleur and shifter. Also I'm now running Hayes 9's with 8" rotors on the front and back... plus I got a new QR seat-collar. Stay tuned...

    Help me decide (disc brake)

Well, it came down to a matter of money. I don't have enough to support keeping the Gustav's so I figured I'd pass them on to someone who'll actually use them for downhill.

    Help me decide (disc brake)

DOH! I knew I should've asked for the stick!!! ;) Having RFR run beside my bike to help me stop seems to be working out just fine though :D

    Dirt Jumps in Kent?

Find a patch of dirt in Kent (not to difficult); perform a bunnyhop; viola' you've got dirt-jumps in Kent... That's the only ones I know of... unless you find a way to come SCREAMING into Earthworks park and hit the big mounds. Those could make for some nice jumps. ;)

    Help me decide (disc brake)

Well, here's what has happened with my brake situation. I traded my Magura Gustav M's for a set of Hayes 9's with 8" rotors. So far the Hayes seem to be able to handle my needs and if I do ever decide to go for the Avid BB-7's I've got all the mounting brackets ready to go so I could have...

    Help me decide (disc brake)

I'm pretty booked up this weekend so I don't think I can make it to the bike show (although I'll try). Best bet would probably be going riding sometime... you're working over by the UW right? Maybe we could meet up over there sometime.

    Help me decide (disc brake)

Thanks for the info., I'll definately check out those BB7's. Badmunkey - are you sure you could handle the AWESOME power of the Gustav's???? I think they would snap that STP into little pieces ;)

    Help me decide (disc brake)

The only place I've been able to find a 210mm rotor is through Magura and it costs $64.00. Do you know of another place that sells 210's? All 8" rotors are 203mm.

    Help me decide (disc brake)

Yeah, that's a pretty good deal for those adaptors, but I would need a 20-25mm larger rotor if I used that and I'm currently running a 190 up front. That means I would need a 210-215mm rotor which when combined with shipping bumps the cost up. Maybe I'll try the E-Bay route, but I never...

    Help me decide (disc brake)

So as some of you may know, I've recently built up my new bike. The fork is a Manitou Sherman 80mm jumper with a 74mm spaced post mount. This is somewhat bad news as I had hoped to use my International Standard Magura Gustav M caliper on this fork. I've looked up the price to buy the post...

    My new all-around bike!!

Cool man! Sorry I never called your friend about his bike, but I decided the Porter Pro frame was more of what I wanted.

    My new all-around bike!!

Oh don't you worry; it'll go on there. I can't really go trail riding until I have my Orca horn to scare away the Bears... ;)

    My new all-around bike!!

Thanks! Yeah, I sold the Coiler to a guy at Microsoft for $800 and I'm hopefully selling the P.2 frame tomorrow. Luckily though my new bike only cost me $700.00 (almost half of that was the new wheelset); the rest I scavenged from the P.2 or previous bikes.

    My new all-around bike!!

when you ride backwards? or maybe when they're upstreet climbs?? I'm not really sure... Skookum probably has a good answer ;)
