We're in NY but we are a mainly Mtn. Bike shop with a full staff of Pro DH racers. We rebuild suspension (except coil rear shocks), pivot bearing replacements, wheel building and more.
You can find us at our US-Open pit this year (and last) under the orange Kona tent and look for our team...
Kona = Solid with dialed geometry.
Don't hate.
I ride an Cadabra for my AM bike and I have an Intense Uzzi VP for my FR ride. Lost a pivot bolt and rented a Stinky...besides the suspension not being set up correctly and lower end components, the frame geo felt just as good as my Uzzi. No...
I have a 2009 Totem Solo Air and had the same problem. Same thing...seals where dry. Works great now! I rock it at Diablo and Platty. Holds up great!

It's market is not DH or FR even if it is used there. I personally would love a 2x10 setup on my AM bike or my XC race rig. Run a 24/38 or so in the front with a 36/11 in the back. Higher top end when needed without a full big ring while still being able to climb nicely.
And someone said...
We'll be getting some demo bikes in this spring! Give us (Beacon Cycles) at 845-765-0366.
We will have a Cadabra and a Stinky for sure and we may have a couple of others.

I have HS on my new Uzzi FR/DH rig. It kicks ass. As was mentioned above, I use it more than my rear der. There are skeptics, but this thing really works and really changes the way you ride!
Tom
Sweet! Yeah...instead of heading down hardcore you veer left just along the ski trail and it will take you down to that long straight run down a different ski trail (or is it an access road?).
Tom
I'll be racing sport up here. Is the sport course down "Fun Run" (I think that's the trail with all the little jump) as it has been in the past?
Thanks
Tom
Ohh and you do get used to using the bike as a 2 gear setup...you find yourself shifting only in the front at times. You find a comfortable rear for the terrain and you can really move with 2 gears. very sweet! Went out on a super muddy ride yesterday and when no one else could shift because...
I have a Hammerschmidt on my new Uzzi with the 2nd Gen VPP. No real issues. When I am pedaling I want it to be stiffer anyways and when I want it plush I'm not usually pedaling so it's a moot point.
I have had no problems with the engagement...I ratchet through rock and tech sections, ride...
WMBAs Fat Tire Festival Being Held
June 14th at Blue Mountain in Peekskill
The Westchester Mountain Biking Association (WMBA), Westchester County NYs mountain biking organization and advocacy group, is holding its 14th Annual Fat Tire Festival from 10am 4pm on Sunday, June 14, 2009 at...
We are have a name now!
We are a new club that has formed in the lower Hudson Valley (Putnam and Southern Dutchess) in order to promote mountain biking and maintain trails in Hudson Highlands State Park (including Mount Beacon) and Fahnestock State Park (over 25,000 acres combined). We hope...
The problem is the same as Mt Snow. It is in the State Park so they to make a single trail there is endless bureaucracy and they can't actually build any features.
Scott? They can't sell a some of their bikes in the US right now because of the patent fight with Specalized...It would be a good opportunity for them to get back in the game here in the USA.
