This guy knows his stuff!
Post Canyon is definitely the best option for you, the DH, jumps, drops and stunts are all shuttle accessible.
Blackrock is amazing but there is no shuttle access. It's either a 1 hour hike up or you're pedaling up it.
Syncline would be great too, some good rocky...
I broke my left wrist (ulna and radius) 8 years ago and it still gives me crap to this day when I ride. I've tried multiple hard and soft braces in the past but I didn't like the tradeoff between protection and mobility that they offered.
I've been having good results these days with regular...
Aw crap, I just got my hardtail built up too. I thought the law was going to be repealed.
Is it possible to smuggle my bike across the border so i can ride in BC? I'll take my chances once I'm in the country.
I've bought new and used completes, and built bikes from new and used parts...
I'll never buy new again unless I can get an EP deal or some rediculous sale. The value just isn't there. I've had pretty good luck buying used parts, some smaller parts (pedals, etc) didn't last as long but the...
So does the brace just limit extreme movement (hyper-flexion?) of the wrist but not support it in between the limits? I like some support at all points of movement, especially when an impact is absorbed by the wrist compressing.
I broke mine the same way 8 years ago and it still occasionally gives me some trouble. I use 3 or 4 wraps of 2" medical tape and it works great for me. I've tried different braces and I actually prefer the restrictive feeling of the tape.
If you're making 25-35 an hour you will do just fine in the Portland area.
I wouldn't live in the city though, there are plenty of suburbs within 15-30 minutes of the city that are really nice towns to live in. I'm in Vancouver, right across the river to the north and I love it up here...
Jeez, you need to just buy a bike already. :D
I'd go with the dirtbag, it's a more versitile bike for what you see in the PNW and it's always good to support the local guys.
In late 2004/early 2005 this exact issue came up on the first batch of production DHX's that got sent out, from what I can remember it was the propedal valve clicking in the beginning of the stroke. I got a shock from the next batch (from around April 2005) bacause they said that they had...
I'm on my second stinky deluxe, I like what they did with the 2007/2008 frames compared to the 2003 frame I had in the past. The bike feels more updated IMO.
The only real downside is the chainstay length but it's not too bad. You might notice it on a super-tight skinny but if you can hop...
The frame looks awesome.
If you guys sell it through Ebay with paypal handling the money it should make people less nervous about buying a handmade frame from a small builder in another part of the world. I know I'd be a lot more likely to buy one if you guys did.
