I may be wrong but I believe the grease ports are so you can put grease on the axles to stop them from creaking, and don't really have anything to do with the bearings themselves. Everytime my Nomad creaks it is because the axles are dry, adn I have to pull the linkage apart, put grease on them...

Anything helps...I know that when I used to ride with fenders on my bullit and chameleon it made a huge difference. We just didn't have any mud to ride in last year so we don't remember what it's like.
I still say there are easier options, like, getting a custom make Ventana. Dude, you know that ould cost just as much as a Nomad and would work just as well.
I'm going to Tahoe tomorrow. You make me feel stupid when you climb faster than me with flat pedals. I try to chalk it up to your light weight, but then I remeber the 5 or so beers I had the previous night and realize that I am fat.
