Does anyone remember bikes from the 80's??

Some friends and I had the Sears moto look suspension bikes. Shocks?! it's time for bigger jumps! wearing hockey gear and snowmobile helmets. The plastic bits on the bikes didn't last long.

    Eastern Canada Trip

Nice photos. Looks like you found your way around ok at VBN. Neilson... how'd you like that? It's quite sporty at times. Lots of smooth, swervy berms at St Raymond.

    Nova Scotia/Quebec/Ottawa Riding

That would be an action-packed trip. Taking Friday off work was a good idea. Keppoch for sure while you're in NS, 45min drive from Pictou. Pedal up to the dh trails, do as many laps as you can, take a break, then do a few more. Fitzpatrick is 10min or so from Pictou, spend a few hours there...

    Nova Scotia/Quebec/Ottawa Riding

Sugarloaf lift is open Thurs-Sun. Sugarloaf, most trails are fun with a trail bike, a few others are rough. It's possible to ride up a dirt road to the trails, but someone working at the park may say not to. MSA lift is Thurs-Mon. The xc/am trails are plenty fun and worth the visit. In Quebec...

    Winter training equipment?

For cardio and leg endurance, try xc skiing. Skate skiing will help even more. Being on skinny, slippery skis will also help with balance, co-ordination and agility. Indoor stationary pedaling causes brain damage after 20 minutes. Ski outside for hours.

    Foam Rollers...ouch.

The hair-puller, skin-pincher stick? :) weird about a tiger tail not rolling smoothly, not much to go wrong unless there's dirt in there. maybe some lube will help. Mine's about a year old and rolls fine. For digging into lower back and glutes check out the "Ball Punktur" ... spikey...

    Foam Rollers...ouch.

The high-density foam is great for heavier people, those already used to the pain or not afraid of pain. The softer units tend to get worn out, even softer and oval/flattish... then not roll so well. For some really effective rolling torture, try ABS pipe. Another great massage tool is...
