I designed a gearbox for high-pivot DH bikes.
I did a presentation on it for my school.
Here's a video. Sorry about the quality, it gets better a few minutes in. There's a link in the video description to the slide show for better quality images.

Looking at the four positions for the rear shock, you are in the short travel and slack mode (B). Move it to long travel and slack, which is the lowest hole in that picture (A). The way you have it it looks like the piggyback might hit the link plate when deeper in the travel, in which case you...
Great story, but can't help but think, like Westy, that it could have been set up better.
For starters, ditch the chain, chainring, derailleurs, cassette, and shifters. Just seems obvious.
Also, his use of a DOSS dropper makes no sense in this application. He could never actuate it. He claims...
From a blog post on ZerodeUSA:
"
1) The geometry has had an overhaul for the G2. 3 sizes, shorter head tubes, longer top tubes and slacker head angles mean a race ready chassis for all body shapes and sizes.
2) With lessons learned from the G1 we have shaved over 300grams off the frame. Some...
Okay, thanks guys, going with the Fox.
Now how about spring weight? I was on a 450 on the G1, but weigh 212 lbs. Likely underspung, but felt fine.
Thinking of going with a 500 now that the travel is reduced.
The size charts say I should be on a 550 at least.
Upgrading from G1 to G2. Any thoughts on the DHX vs CCDB shocks? I've had Fox rear shocks on my last three DH bikes, and they have been absolutely set and forget. Not a single issue ever. Quiet and reliable.
I'm also not likely to tweak my shock settings frequently.
What are your thoughts...

I have this little Makita, and it's the nicest small compressor you can buy. Purrs like a kitten, oil filled, very good quality.
As some have said, it's on a tool-by-tool basis. The best spoke wrench most likely won't be from the same company as the best torque wrench. Have to also consider budget and frequency of use. Don't be stuck with any brand allegiance.
We spent a week in Morzine two years ago and it was fantastic. Very central to other PDS resorts, so we could day trip by (rented) DH bike and chairlift to Les Gets, Chatel, even Champery, and still be back for dinner. Not much experience with the other towns, but Morzine was big enough to have...
Crazy. Glad everyone seems to be okay, and yes that does seem like a poorly designed feature, but good grief. That trail (Air Voltage, I assume) has some of the biggest drops in PDS. To think you would just roll through and blast off everything in a blind train is just stupid. I mean suicidal...
