I have three Sthil's, two get used at least a day or two every week building trail. My main saw is a MS261 and use a an older MS280 as my back up / stump saw.
No complaints. Local Sthil dealer support has been top notch too and has been the main reason we run their gear for all our small...
new free hub body came in last week. Got that on the hub with no issues. Tried to remove the rest of my cassette from the old freehub, cogs right well stuck, hammering will be required. I think I can get it all freed up with out bending it, so might luck out and be able to save it.
However...
I've seen some trials bikes that are already going out with 7075 frames. Well.. partially. Clean for example uses 7075 on the CNC'd bits on their frames.

Don't ask me how they made it work.. magic or something
Well my current free hub is sliced to the point where the cogs are a few rides away from spinning free. So I have to get a new free hub body regardless. I thought that the Ultegra cassettes only spidered the largest 5, maybe I'l have to look at that again . My worst issues were just in 6-8.
yep, I kinda figured I was more or less out of luck, but you never know until you ask.
I think Hope still makes steel freehubs so I'll grab one of those.
Does any one make a good full (or mostly) spidered 10 speed cassette around the 11-28 gear range? I have a 105 cassette now and the spider only covers the three largest cogs. The middle to bottom of the cassette, where I spend most of my time on course on, and in during gate starts is non...
Need to toss some riding shots in
Hardtail hucking it back in the day on my old Astrix. Loved that bike, what a tank. 66º HT with the 66 and custom drop outs on it. It was awesome on the DH and drops.
Most recent decent shot of me riding last spring on my Stumpy (Has a Helm out front now)
The non gruesome results my last ride..
Lets just say that even if it's kinda warm (relatively speaking) don't ride icy trails with out gloves unless you like getting a bunch of stitches in your palm. :(
Had a series of Norco Shores around that time. Each alas only held up for a few month before cracking. I sold the 3rd frame before ever riding it. Good on Norco for excellent warranty service however.
Got a Demo 8 now for DH and FR days
so would that be a race that sits between the bearing and the regular crown race? (in this case the one built on the fork) If so that would do the job and should be easy to find.
Hey,
Say you had a frame with a tapered integrated headset and you wanted to use a straight 1 1/8 fork on it but the fork has an integrated crown race (can not use a press on crown) what headset would work?
trials bike problems..
I've got one on my StumpJumper. Not enough ride time yet to give a proper review. Initial impressions are good however. I just got it on last week.

Yep, I've warrantied many CSU's over the years for this issue, will be looking into it for my current fork once I do a bit more testing and cleaning to ensure it's not a headset issue first. Fox has always been great at fixing them in the past with no questions asked. Good service in my books.
Hello ,
Looking for a bit beefier fork for my trail bike, a 2018 StumpJumper. I have a 34 (not step cast) on it now and it feels it's a bit too flexy and the crown is starting to creak.
Some options I'm considering include the ribbon, lyrik, helm, or maybe a 36.
I've had good luck with the...
