Interesting...that's pretty close by but I've never even though to ride there. I ride the Ashland Res once in a while from my house. It's a short but pretty fun loop, good for a morning ride. I usually do it in one direction then turn around and do it in the other.
Two of my fav 90's comps -
"Step On It - The best of the ska parade radio show"
"Misfits of Ska" (the first one, II wasn't nearly as good)
Oh, the first person that mentions Goldfinger is banned for life.
Transcend, that 2nd picture is amazing.
I've got a riding picture question for you guys. When do you want IS on? One of my lenses has 2 modes; 1- all directions, and 2-only in the direction of the camera, the other is on or off. I'm guessing that it should be "off" or set to "2" if you're...
If I were walking I wouldn't be. I've got a decent padded backpack style case for it but I don't know how much shaking the camera can deal with. Maybe I'm being overly cautious?
Nice pics. I want to get some riding pictures with my 30D, but I'm nervous about bringing it on a ride.
Let me know when you find it, I'll take one too. I tried shooting indoor soccer Sat morn w/the 50mm 1.8 and the results were less than optimal. Trying to get that lens to focus where I...

Santa hooked me up with a 30D this xmas and I'm loving it. I've done tons of video shooting/editing in the past, but I'm new to photography and have a lot to learn. Here are a few I've taken, mostly just experimenting and learning the camera.
A very old friend (I wish I notice the glare on...
Great pics and write up as usual...I can't believe I didn't ride Whitehall once in 06. This weather has been so great. Rode Rattlesnake Hill in Bolton Tue morn, and nam this morning. Can't ever remember two before work rides in one week in mid Jan before.
Still have the Epic, though it's been sitting in the basement with a flat for at least 3 weeks. Mostly just ride it at Leominster SF. I bought the Gemini last summer after I sold my bighit and love it. Perfect balance of travel and weight, though it sure felt heavy following splat "the iron...
