    2024 racing thread

Juniors and Elites are not remotely the same thing, not even close. When Jackson goes 5 of 7 and 4 in a row of 7 in two seasons, wins with no chain, and wins the WC overall 5 times in 7 seasons winning 3 straight titles in 15, 16, and 17 . 19 elite wins in 7 seasons. I will gladly eat crow...

Jackson looked like the guy to beat at the end of last season, for sure. I'm sure the kid will win a few WC overalls and a World champs in his career. I could see him ending up the top rider of his generation when its all said and done. kid was born and bred to be where he's at. Gwin was the...

    2024 racing thread

The past few years the bar has definitely been lifted, all the young guns like Finn, Jackson, Jordan, Daprella, Dunne, Benoit. Add Gwin, Pierron to the mix, wins are not gonna come easy for anyone. Between the returning big dogs and guys like Vermette racing juniors, i've never been more...

    2024 racing thread

He would have to win 5 of 7 and 4 of 7 races in a season, win 4 wc in a row, chainless win, and put 8+ seconds into 2nd at val di sol. Winning St anne in the wet when 75% of the field had a dry track? The list goes on. Things Gwin did on a bike were on a level never seen before.

I may be blinded a little, I understand father time is undefeated. The fact that he was right there with Dak in 22 on an equal bike, and Dak was the fastest guy on the Hill a few times last year, gives me alot of hope for Gwin if he ends up on the M-1.

    2024 racing thread

I wasn't talking about you in particular, I know you are a longtime/knowledgable race fan like many on here. Alot of the newer fans have no idea/ no respect for his god given ability. no pun intended He won't consistently win like he did during his run, nobody ever has or ever will reach that...

    2024 racing thread

Gwin's choice of frame will be interesting. Financially I would guess he's at a point where if the frame money was remotely close he would take a financial hit in exchange for riding the bike that gives him the best chance to win? As a fan my #1 choice for him would be the Intense M-1...

    Forbidden Dreadnought...what y'all think?

If anyone listens to the Blister Podcast Bikes and Big ideas its not a bad listen. The one with Jordi from fox was gold, Jordy basically told him that he doesn't know what he's talking about as far as suspension and bike setup in general. I give the guy credit for posting the podcast after...

This is what's wrong with The Industry™

The grown man keyboard warrior calling a professional racer a loser because of his opinion. And I must be gay for laughing at you're unhinged comparison between you're rental bikes relationship to a WC DH racer and his rig. OK Nobody cares about you or you're experience with you're rental...

So you're clapped out rental bike experience in whistler proves the Bulldog doesn't know what he's talking about? Makes sense Gee Atherton was the Troy Brosnan of DH at his peak. Second or third best guy every year for almost a generation. The guy was always on the podium. Rachel came out of...

This is what's wrong with The Industry™

Except Remember when he switched from GT to Mondraker? Huge jump in his results, a couple top 3 results, immediately. I'd say looking back at the results he would be 100% accurate if he said it was the bike. Rachel could have dominated on any bike, and for all the hate Gee has had in his...

    Redbull Rampage 2023

I'm glad you know exactly what is going through the judges minds as they are cheering. I can't think of another sport in the world where a judging panel is cheering for athletes they are judging in real time. Can you? Regardless of whose runs won and didn't win, that is some bush league...

    Redbull Rampage 2023

Not a fan of judged sport for this reason. No disrespect but Bienve was robbed just like Mcgarry. When the video shows the judges trailer throwing their arms up cheering for certain guys we are supposed to believe the judging is fair? Brendan should have podiumed, when Van steenbergen took...

Guerrilla Gravity, badass frame manufacturer in Colorado

Yt's are still value based but not nearly popular like they were under Gwin, Pierron got every privateer in the world on a commencal the last few years, The treks are popular too, you can bet Vergier and Holl sell bikes, If specialized Brings Bruni and Finns bike to market I would guarantee the...
