Funny. I've been on 650B since 2009, probably the first conversion in my country. I love it. But just very recently I've been lusting for an FS 29er. Even after going on a 4-hour trail ride on a friend's hardtail SS 29er that's 3kg heavier than my own bike. Go figure.
Seb, which would you reckon is a better "all-around" bike, the 134 or the 111? Having a SS background I tend to favor suspension designs (and rear travel) on the more pedaling efficient side of the equation and am debating between a short-travel 29er and a mid-travel 650B.
BTW, speaking of the 134 that "weighs a lot less than many carbon offerings," did you happen to weigh the bikes? Any indication of frame weights maybe?
Great stuff! The Blueprint series is just a fantastic idea.
And you've now done one on two of my dream bikes (the 111 and 134).
Will eagerly await a "proper" review on them in the mag.
