I've got a 15" 1.5ghz PowerBook, with 512 mb of ram. I want to add 1GB of ram, whats the best online place to buy it? I've checked out Crucial and Datamem. Any other recommendations?
Also, is it tough to install ram? I read the instructions in the book, seemed alrgiht, I'm not a computer guy...

Ok, well when I used Frontpage, I never typed code. I just put text/pictures like on a word document. Frontpage automatically convereted it to HTML i think, but I never dealt with code and it was easy peasy.
Dreamweaver is way too complicated I think.
Hey All,
I recently got a Powerbook, and moved from a Dell. I used to used Frontpage, but there is not a Frontpage for Mac, so what software do you recommend for basic web page design? (not html stuff, other languages)

Hey all,
Im just curious, but when packing a larger FR/DH bike, like a Bullit, with a DC fork, its a good idea to take the fork off/both wheels correct? Im curious to see how you guys pack your bikes.
THanks
Byron
I just got my powerbook, and was wondering if anyone else with a mac knew of a fast/reliable P2P program for file sharing, without spyware.
Thanks - sorry if this isnt appropiate

haha yea, i cant rely on people finding my bike through forum postings
the link was put there to see if you could find it by searching
anyway, i think i found the problem, I had a pair of Kona Jack **** pedals on the bike, and the word "****" is a violation of ebay, thus making it not...
Hey guys,
Ive got a silly question, I put my Bullit on ebay, and just for ****s and giggles, I ttried to search it today, but even though I put the full title in, it still found nothing. When I browse ebay, it gets nothing under the complete bikes section...
Yup, they do a lot of frames and comeplete bikes.
Mods use a 19" rear wheel, have wheel bases around 1000-1045ish. Their easier to maintain on the rear due to short chainstays, but have a harder time gapping/upping due to short lenght/less leverage.

So, is it possible to install RAM after buying the powerbook through a non Apple store? They charge a ton for another 512mb oof RAM, so if its not too hard to get an aftermarket chip, Id rather do that. SOrry, that may have been a dumb question.
I'm still wondering, for the AppleCare people...
stinky- thanks for the response
one more thing, i notice on the super drive computers, the processor is 1.67, while in the combo, its 1.5. is this difference noticebale, and if i were to upgrade to a dvd burner, would it be fine with the 1.5 GHZ processor? sorry for all the questions
hmm, well its for college this fall, so it will be at a desk, but be taken home and elsewhere as well
i think i may opt for the combo drive instead of the superdrive, save some money there and put that into more ram. i would like to stay under the $2k mark, and apple gives students a bit of a...
thanks for the quick responses,
one other thing: is the applecare protection plan worth it? does it cover accidental damage?(I couldnt see it in the description). Its rather expensive, so Im not sure if its something more buyers spring for.
Hey Guys,
I had a few questions for those with Powerbooks or who have worked with them.
1) Is the 12" version very cramped and small? I want the 15", but after a few upgrades, I think it may be a bit expensive, thus I'm curious how the 12" compares.
2) Ive used PCs my entire life, but...
