Had a long conversation with my pops today. His prostate problems keep getting worse, not good.

Also got the news that my brother who is adopted, found and contacted his birth family.

Well, over 60 miles and a little over 11,000 vert for the weekend. Which is a bunch. But ain’t shit compared to my friend Mark Goddard, who rode 205.5 miles and over 14,000 vert...just yesterday alone. In 14 hours.
on a 1964 Raleigh 3 speed.
I’m slacking.

They rode this area before going to MSS today..

Parc Freeride 40/80 on Trailforks

Apparently a friendly local towed them up with their car a few times.

Need to get out there to check out these spots and your unmarked one. I wish we had that type of riding around here.

We dont have much of any sustained DH type stuff around here, bar a few trails. This one we did today is probably the longest and while not technical, is just steep top to bottom.

The climb out SUCKS. Much better via shuttle.
We don't have much here also. Average down is about 100-120m, depending on trail steepness, time are around 1:30 to 6 minutes. Sometimes 1 minute DH can be more fun than 15 minutes one.

I sure wish I could have pointed your friends in the right direction. 40-80 is kinda boring, about 10 minutes from my house and I don't even bother. Like I said, good stuff not on Trailfork around here.

They/we will definitely be back to the area!
