I never got more than one days riding out of the old 100mm FSA Platinum ISIS BBs before there was detectable play. the play just gradually got worse until the axle rattled about but the BBs never failed.

profile's are the way to go IMO, pity you almost never see short profiles for sale S/H
Really? I had pretty good luck with my FSA. It was the Truvativ BB that did this for me...

Hmm....there are still Raceface BBs available from wheelwhorld....but they're 143mm vs. FSA's 148mm. Is that 5mm going to affect chainline?

From what I understand so far, raceface>FSA>truvativ.

I prefer the FSA over RaceFace and Truvativ. I have a 73x128mm Isis BB thats still kicking and damn smooth after 4 years.

I do have a set of 165mm Profile arms sitting here that I'm not using.
$65 if you want them.

BTW, the 5mm spindle difference is only 2.5mm chainline difference between FSA and RaceFace.
