I love my bike. For those of you who saw my thread about riding my father's OCR and my impressions of carbon, I hold to those, but finally getting off my trainer and back out on the road reminds me just how much I love my Quest. It might not be the lightest or the fastest, but damn does it ride nice. And as long as I'm not racing, that's all that really matters.
Second...
All that time on the trainer this winter has in deed helped... a lot. I've been out on my mtn bike a couple of times this spring and didn't see much improvement, but the look I did today had 3 legitimate climbs, the first of average length but pretty steep, the other two were longer, but not as steep. Last year, even towards the end of the year when I was in better shape, I had to drop into my granny on all 3. Today, I definitely needed the granny for the first climb, but was able to stay in my middle ring for the other two. I'm very happy.
