Hey folks,
Proud to announce this years Orchard Hill Assault XC race, which is held annually by the UMass Bike Racing Club on the UMass Amherst campus. We had about 200 racers last year and are hoping to see even more for 2011. We're expecting to have a DJ(disc jockey..) on course and potentially some shops with some booths up for assistance or any last minute repairs. The race provides a lot of exposure for the sport as there are nearly 27,000 students at UMass Amherst alone, not including the four other colleges in close proximity.
The course is very fun and flowy. Good for all ages and levels of experience.
If any companies or businesses would like to help support the race, please shoot me an email at ajgagne@student.umass.edu. Any funding or merchandise would really be appreciated to help give back to the community.
Google map search "42.393079,-72.520314" for parking. If it fills up, ask a volunteer for directions to the next closest lot.
