I was looking at these frames, and I really like the looks of the 223, but am looking for a bike more along the lines of the DD. What I can't figure out is, what's the difference between the 223 race bike, and the 223 DoubleD? The geometries look identical, is it the same frame with different builds and paint jobs?

Second question...where in the states can you get Orange bikes?

The only difference is that the Double D has a 1.5 headtube so you can use the Manitou forks. The geometry etc isn't any different, just the build specs really!

i would be tempted to say that the DD has thicker allu throughout?

The differences are 1.5" headtube and front mech compatible. I'm sure that it might be more to it that that, is the head angle steeper too?

the DD has a 1.5" headtube and a front derrailleur mount and cable stops, thatis the only difference.

We actually have a 7+ in the shop right now. Its so damn sweet! I think I'm gonna get a Patriot for my next trail bike.
