Can I use v brakes on a Balfa 2Step???? Anyone out there have any more ideas on the little rollermagiggy below the bottom bracket. Will it stand up to rocky punishment.??

Post this in the DH forum. i know some one on this site has a 2step. they just put an Evil chainn guide on it.

Disc only, but I think it takes an 8". The lower link has a tough plastic roller on it, so if your chainring is too small the plate will hold up on it's own. It isn't very compatible with a chainguide, but you can get one to work with a 34 tooth ring. The bike has it's idiosyncrosies, but in the end I think it puts any other 6"-7" travel freeride bike to shame.
