Just wondering... why do all Turner sponsored teams use 5-Spots for slalom and not Rails? Is it just a weight issue?

Ah... ok, but still, wasn't the rail designed as Turner's "slalom bike"?

Its a weight thing. Its like 3 pounds difference in between the two. The team can have a new XCE any time an 'incident' happens

its weight and preference. The teams have been running burners/xces for several years and are really used to the frame, they dont want to change

i'd rather run the XCE/5 spot over the Rail. infinite seatpost adustability. dual purpose (XC or 4X/DS). lighter weight. better suspension action. unless you're Casey McCasesalot the XCE/5spot will more than hold up.
