Not where I'd like
Yep, should work.

One place you may run into issues is with the new dyna-sys 10spd parts. They have a slightly different cable pull. As long as the 10spd derailleur is "normal" then you should be able to get it set up correctly.

Just set it up, it should all be compatible.

Why is your name XTR if you're running SRAM?

Edit: You trollin'?

I don't think that they are compatible. I could be wrong but I am pretty sure SRAM uses a different cable pull for their 10 speed versus their 9 speed.

What about:
9 speed cassette/chain
SRAM X9 10 Speed shifters
SRAM X9 rear derailleur 10 speed

Gotta change my shifter cable and I'm contemplating throwing on my 10 speed stuff until I get a cassette/chain.. I figure it won't work, but couldn't hurt to ask?

Not going to work. Cassette and shifters need to have the same gear count or else the steps won't line up. The only time you can do that is between 6, 7, and 8 speed. After that they started changing the distance between chainrings.
