A question about BB.

If my normal BB is 73 x 113mm and I get a 73.118 what does that do? Does it just make my cranks fit a litter wider out? I was thinking about this because my feet hit my brake arms every once in a while.

It does move it out 2 1/2 mm per side, but it may jack up your chain line.

Chain line is already weird...its on my trials bike. Although I have 8 gears in the back...all I really use is 3.

Some companies make their bb's with cups on both sides, that way you can custom adjust the chainline. I know my Race Face has that feature (2 year old, square taper). I don't know of anyone else that makes them this way. BTW, none of Shimano's offerings are adjustable. Wait, maybe the XTR bbs are but not the XT or LX.
