Hello fellow riders,

Our club has experienced a tragic event that so many other clubs have experienced in the past few years. On our Tuesday night club ride two of our friends were hit head on by a mini van. The driver of the van lost control and slid through a blind turn completely in the lane of our guys. Steve Lohoff, Larry Rosolina, and Jared Cakebread were riding single file at the right side of the road and as they entered the turn the van appeared and hit Steve and Larry. Jared was narrowly missed by the van but was hit by one of the bikes. The driver ran off the road, came back up onto the road and sped away, briefly looking around at the damage he had done. He has not been found.

Steve has a very deep cut from his neck down across his chest, his collar bone is gone and his shoulder is broken. He also has a punctured lung and has received 29 units of blood. Larry has a broken pelvis, vertebrae, hand, wrist, ribs, and shoulder. Larry is in a room and doing well, Steve is in critical but stable condition. Thankfully our club has a lot of members in the medical field who arrived just minutes after the accident, and I credit them for saving their lives. Private citizens and our club are offering a reward of 2050.00 for the arrest of this individual.

Please keep our guys in your thoughts and prayers. Please be careful out on the road, this kind of
incident could happen to of us.

Wow, that's awful. Anyone know the email addresses of these guys or an address we can send card to?

and again, that just blows. It's bad enough that people are losing it in turns and slamming into riders, but to leave the scene? That is absolutely horrible. Best wishes to all involved except the loser who hit them.
