My wife's buddy at work is a huge Calexico fan. Big lumberjack hippie dude who went to Humbolt State. (His own wife went to Humbolt as well, but she's more of an Iron Maiden kind of girl...)

He's also a big Iron and Wine fan, who I like a lot as well.

i'm sure you know that Calexico and Iron & Wine did a record together, and as fate would have it, Sam Beam was fairly close by for this show, but unfortunately he had his own gig to play in Providence, so there was no impromptu collaborations to be had that night.

I've only heard the LOVE cover that Calexico does, pretty decent.
