One of a couple DH races we do here in the winter time. The other one is at the big ski resort off the tram. This one precedes that by a week. This is one of the few places around Anchorage where there's actually some snow, as it's been too warm all winter for any snow to accumulate at sea level. Was getting soft towards the end, but not crazy sloppy/post-holing either.

Mass start, 1000 vert down, fast track and tons of fun. Who the hell needs suspension?

I'd estimate 50mph. In the race that's next weekend at Alyeska, we hit 55mph easily (with more turns and twice the vertical). Tons of fun.
