Last weekend was a road race. 9000 feet of climbing. I went early with one other guy. We worked good together and then hit one of the bigger climbs, 3+miles at an avg of 12 %. I ended up popping him hard on the climb but not on purpose. I had to decide either to put my head down and go or wait. I waited because we still had around 40 miles to go and it was raining hard, wind was blowing hard. We stayed away until about 12 miles to go and got caught by a chase pack of 15. Came down to a sprint and I got 9th so in the money but far from what I wanted.
