I was at BB yesterday and checked out the general shape of the DH Mania course. They still have alot of work to do.
It starts on Summit right after where the double doubles were
last year. You know where you could see people hit them from the chair lift. It goes staight down the mountain and into a left hand berm. Right after the berm there looks to be a huge log step down that they are building. (Its tough to tell because they
are still building it.) The course drops down into the gully where they had the log table, dirt table, and dirt double last year. they were still building some doubles and a rhythm section there. They didnt have anything built from where you usually go through the trees on summit and over the rock, all the way down to where Naked falls usually is. There they have a few
berms and a huge double where it finishes.
It looks like its going to be a pretty rad course. Rumors were around that it was just down the fire road...Definately not true.
Its too early to tell if you need to decide if your going to use a slalom bike or a DH bike. My guess is that there are going to be one or two man made obstacles so big you will want the DH bike.
