A 500 acre forest fire broke out in Ridgecrest and was moving east. Kitsuma trail is closed.

Can anyone confirm if Kitsuma has burned ?

Hopefully this means there was no damage to Kitsuma.

couldn't be worse than what the roadbuilders/"trail crew" did to it a few years ago...last time I rode there a year or two back nature had started to help...

I remember that happening. I haven't ridden it since they ruined the switchbacks. Back in the day it was bragging rights to clean all those switchbacks at the start. I never made it up all of them. Now I hear anyone can ride'em.

Hopefully the fire didn't damage the trails.
