Regarding this thread: (my recent bike problems)

http://www.ridemonkey.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3204

I broke down and took my bike to the LBS tonight because I just wanted the darn thing to be fixed for this weekend. The rear derailleur hanger was bent, as you thought it might be. A ten minute fix, and I am now good to go this weekend. The shop charged me $10 to look at it, which I really don't mind. Every time I take the bike in, it's a learning experience. Next time this happens, I'll know what to do.

It was not really bent that bad, so they just adjusted it. I didn't even notice the bend with my naked eye. The shop owner had to point it out to me.
