Hey, this may seem like a stupid question. but why does everyone keep saying "bump"? is it a good thing? or a bad thing? sorry, i'm pretty new to the forums.

bump is the term given to a non info post.

It places that thread back on top of the page. Uncovering it from posts that pushed it down.

Did that make any sense?

Anyone who posts in the thread, in essence, "bumps" it back to the top of the post list.

So, anyone can bump a thread. I could post "Hi" or "boing" or whatever useless thing I want in the thread to bump it.
