Here is a great opportunity to make our voices heard with the Forest Service. The Wenatchee National Forest ( along with others ) is revising the forest plan. The last time this was done was in 1990, before mountain biking was really a factor in forest planning. Now is our chance to be the loudest voice in the forest. On the top of the left column click on Designate Your Activities and Favorite Places and fill in the blanks. The map is a little hard to read, but just enter the nearest coordinates. Be sure if you are a freerider to enter that as your activity. I talked with the leader of the revision team (who is quite knowledgable and supportive of freeriding) and he urged more participation from the biking community.
