ok so, we have a bad sellers/scammers section. we have a rep system. why not sorta merge the 2? for classifieds transactions, have an independent rep system sorta like the ebay feedback system. that way, monkeys who are good sellers and don't have issues can gain sort of a reputation so that people looking to buy can get an idea of the seller they're dealing with and not have issues.

Yeah... We had this in the old classifieds, but the problem was that the old classifieds were a massive pile of suck.

The new classifieds are much better, but they flat-out don't support this feature.

Might consider creating a forum where people could just post a single thread with their username in the title, allowing a feedback stream from posters. Then you could just keep that link in your signature or something. It's a little kludgey but it would be functional.

Not real functional for a huge site like eBay because there's no control over someone posting in the thread who hasn't actually bought anything from you, but we could handle that on a one-off basis here and if it becomes unmanageable we could consider alternatives.
