are taking s.s, seriously?Dude, I live here and love it. Just saying your logic is a bit flawed.
For some, hordes of idiots and crappy gov't isn't desirable, but for others, nice weather and fun stuff supercedes all. Just a matter of preferences.
You'll hate Colorado, then. It's colder than a witch's tit all winter here.I really don't know if I can handle the winter.... I'm a skiier, and I've skied their and I love it, but I like warm more than cold.
No one seems to have asked one of the all important questions...what do you plan on majoring in?I really don't know if I can handle the winter.... I'm a skiier, and I've skied their and I love it, but I like warm more than cold.
I kind of tried to hint earlier that such questions *might* be important, but it looks like only MBC noticed. No one seems to have asked one of the all important questions...what do you plan on majoring in?
And Zark pretty much nailed it on SB. The town is absolute tits.

Well, for what it is worth, UCSB is best known for the sciences (Bio, Chem, Engineering), not sure how it ranks up as a business school, but from my experience it is primarily a science and math school.Remember I'm only a Jr, and just finished that year... but I'm thinking either the average Business/Managerial Economics, or Social Sciences... Cali Poly SLO offers both of those as well from what I have heard.
The Biz/Econ dept is pretty good from what I understand.Well, for what it is worth, UCSB is best known for the sciences (Bio, Chem, Engineering), not sure how it ranks up as a business school, but from my experience it is primarily a science and math school.

That's what I have been told.... I'm semi-leaning towards Polytech SLO.... I think if I go there, I might get a bit more $$$ from my father as he has some sort of memory of that school. The Biz/Econ dept is pretty good from what I understand.
Word of advice: don't lean towards a school until you're accepted. Methinks you're about a year ahead of yourself. Apply to as many schools as you can afford, and see what happens. That's what I have been told.... I'm semi-leaning towards Polytech SLO.... Ahh, it seems like you're already of the right mindset. Hell, I wish I was that far ahead of the game when I was still in high school.I'm going to apply to about 10 schools, and I agree, once the acceptance letters comes in, then I will ask more questions.
If your doing business, I recommend either Econ or Finance focused. International management is cool too. But stay away from general "bus mgmt", it's really generic and should be a minor if anything.Remember I'm only a Jr, and just finished that year... but I'm thinking either the average Business/Managerial Economics, or Social Sciences... Is the UC system not part of the WUIE (wooey) program? I forget exactly what that stands for but it is a western statues university exchange program. If you qualify through grades, you can get close to in state tuition costs at an out of state college. We live in WA, we pay the same for NAU(Arizona) as we would UW. I know Oregon, WA, ID and MT all have colleges in this program.no, it means that you can't become a resident of the state of california while going to ucsb. that means you are being forced to bend over and pay out-of-state tuition for 4 years.
Funny. Same here. They transfer well to real life though.
Although I never used my Finance/Econ degree.
Yeah - I guess I've never used the degree in a *professional* capacity. It has come in handy over the years.Funny. Same here. They transfer well to real life though.
Interesting but priceseliger is from the great state of Texas. Is the UC system not part of the WUIE (wooey) program?
