Ok,

For some reason, i got screwed by some spyware or something. I have adaware and stuff, but somehow my homepage in explorer keeps getting changed to some stupid search engine site that is nothing but ads. God f***. How do i remove this script?

How come this is not illegal? Why cant i sue these people for hacking?

Why does crap pop up on my computer like some kind of warning so ill click on it and be assaulted by blinky lights and stupid crap for sale????

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

reset homepage to RM, delete all temp files and cookies, run ad-aware (again), dl and run spybot (similar, but different from ad-aware), stop visiting porn sites.

:D

I'm going to have to save this paragraph, because it keeps coming up.

Run all your spyware stuff, then run your antivirus. Do Windows Update, and then head over to www.mozilla.org and download Firebird. Use that as your brower.

Your life will be easier, I promise. Tabbed browsing is the sh!t.

Do I download Firefox, Thunderbird, or just Mozilla? I don't see anything there called Firebird.

actually ride monkey cookies ur PC< look at the match maker ad, it knows where you live! cus i gues RM gives the ad companys our permission to cookie us cus we belong to the forum.

also go to browser setting and set second highest level of cookieness, this will allow only cookies with ur permission, such as ridemonkey cookies or if u check ur email of of aim.com.

It doesn't know where you live, it just knows what town the server you connect to the internet with is in. You don't need a cookie for that...

When I'm at work, half the time it thinks I'm in Virginia because that's where some of the companys firewalls are.

Shoot, sorry about that, wrong name.

Firefox is the browser only. Thunderbird is the mail client (if you use Outlook Express, it might not be a bad idea to switch) and Mozilla is the whole suite.

Run Spybot and Adaware. Make sure you have the latest updates as well. Update you OS and IE through M$ site.

Firefox rules too

Ok fellas,

Thanks. When i get home im gunna fire all this stuff up. I have a popup blocker and adaware. My adaware stuff, for some reason is in german, but i figured out how to use it anyway.

Here's another retard question.

How come when i delete my cookies and that, the folder still says it has like 500MB still in it, but theres nothing i can see in the folder. I even changed the options to show hidden items, but obviously, theyre still hidden.

God hates me.

Mozilla is a completely different browser, think of Firefox as Mozilla lite. Go with Firefox, it's slimmer & faster.

maybe it's the cache? The reserved space for your internet.

G-d doesn't hate you... worse, He couldn't care less about you. You mean nothing to him... worship the monkey, show your love to the monkey, shock the monkey.

WTF is cache?

It says that many many items are still in the folder. Like way more than 6 or something. Can i just delete it, and name another folder the same thing or will computer start spraying sparks again like when i spilled kool aid in the speakers?

the spywares will still able to invade your system even you have adaware installed.

You need to update the reference file to the latest, go to http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/

It helped me to solve my problem on my IE startup page.

yeah, dunno... how about just reducing the amount of memory reserved for your browser? I set mine to less than 50Mb... I figure I don't need to store too many graphics, etc of sites I visit regularly cuz I have a hi-speed connection.

is hard drive space a problem?

uninstall Kazaa, it's full of spywares. Use K Lite ++, it's free of spyware

I simplified a bit. Thunderbird and Mozilla Mail aren't the same either, but they are close enough.

I haven't used Mozilla since Firefox(bird) came out, but it seemed to be a touch easier to deal with plugins and such.

As long as you can configure your system to properly mount /usr/bin/w00t at every 2nd boot you will be fine! :)

strange :( i've found all sorts of stuff and the shareaza scheme really reduces fakes. Plus, I average decent dl speeds with the occassional sustained rates of over 2mb/sec
