Here's my Spooky Supertouch part-build, it's deliberately a bastard child mix of parts and yes, I'm keeping the flat bars!

Since taking these pics it's had a red CK headset fitted and everything else dialled in.

Will be christened with its first ride next weekend, huzzah!

is the foxtrot a good cross frame? i haven't looked into them too much i just know other origin 8 frames are lower end.
I raced the Foxtrot last year and I liked it. The frame isn't as stiff as my Scott Addict or aluminum/scandium bikes but that was part of the reason I wanted it. The bike provided a nice, cushy, ride. The things I didn't like were the lack of refinements, ie no barrel adjusters built into the frame, I didn't care for the cable routing, and it was a hard bike to get to shift properly.

One that is offensive to cross racers :D

Are those R-Sys that I see there?

looks like Ringle post, stem and H2O cage.
Zooka baby! No way can those be offensive to anyone who's been into MTB for a while.

And speaking of, man, those brakes bring me back!
I very much approve of this bike.
Except the wheels.

word, well depending on funds at the end of the season, chances are ill stick with a cheaper steel frame probably like a soma or surly, maybe even a voodoo, im not as concerned with weight as much as durability and ride. steel is real has worked for me in the past, i can't see it failing anytime soon
