I just got some Avid Mechs for my HT and when I tried to mount the caliper I saw the rotor was not far enough from the hub to align with the caliper. My question is, should I space out the rotor from the hub, or the caliper from the adapter? I never had this problem with the hydros that were on there before but I wasn't the one to mount them the first time. It is a 2000 Z1 QR20 & hub btw. TIA :monkey:  :D

I'm pretty sure it's the adapter. The QR20 requires a wider mount. I have one but it's for a 68mm Hayes caliper so it's pretty much useless for you. I would think that a Hayes mount for that fork would work provided you carried the "ball-joint" washers over or run a Hayes rotor instead of the Avid.
