I took one stab at painting my own helmet last year and it came out alright but I think it could have been better and I'm thinking of having another go at it this winter. Let's see if we can get a good informative thread full of tips on painting a helmet. Things like prep, supplies, tips and advice. I'm not looking to make this a showcase but if you have images that show a specific step or process you are trying to explain feel free to include them. Assume your target audience has no or limited experience, no specific painting workspace (maybe setting up a workspace could be included as well), none of the nice equipment a professional has (think rattle cans and a hobby airbrush) if you're using industry terms try to explain it for someone outside of the industry.
