I used too be sponsored by that shop back in the 90's. Don't think the shop is around anymore. Those were some good days, I miss riding the track in the back of the shop.
They made a track in back of the shop? I remember shooting off the spud gun into the field. Must've made it just after I left in '93. Had a great time with his series in Capital Forest and all around. Guy knew how to put together a course for all riders. Too bad if he's gone. He'd try all the "cutting edge" stuff to see if it worked, stock what did, and we'd laugh at the rest.
Did all those races too and miss them. Eric got into rally car racing and dabbled in a new snowboard binging company around '98 called "Flytrap" if anyone remembers that one. Last I heard he was still doing the rally car thing but that was years ago now and the shop has been long gone.
Those race series were the sh!t though. Big single loops.
Rally car racing??? Well, he always was one to push the envelope. Didn't he win the Washougal mx one year in the 500cc division? Speaking of the Flytrap, I still have one of those bindings. Was letting my stepson use it here at Kirkwood/Heavenly. I told him if he sells his board to remove the bindings so I can keep them. Used to love going out on "course recon" to see how we'd do the lap for that year. I'm forgetting some of the locations, but remember one where about 1/2 mile into the loop, I snapped a spoke on my new Pulstar wheelset, did the trailside fix, and kept going. Those were the days...............
