Quick summary: The EU now requires that all food products containing certain (small) amounts of GM ingridients must be labeled as such. Restaurants must do the same on their menus. There are percentage requirements and they stopped short of requiring foods to be labeled "GM free" if they are such. The policy may show the liberalizing of GM regulations but is also a sign of reluctance. It is expected that the US will challenge these laws with the WTO.

So, what do you think? Is this legislation a sign of increasing liberalization of GM products in Europe or is it just a sign that there will only be further restriction? Is the general European reluctance to accept the products based on valid wariness or is it more uneducated pseudoscience?
