Transition Racing is proud to announce it's partnership with Evan Turpen for the 2011 race season. Evan is one of the top American downhill racers and for 2011 he’s aiming to step things up big.

In 2010 he had some impressive results as a privateer finishing top-ten at the IXS Cup in Winterberg, Germany as well as two top-tens at Whistler’s Crankworx festival. For 2011 he will be contesting the entire U.S. Pro Gravity Tour, Sea Otter, U.S. Open, Crankworx, select World Cups, World Champs, and National Champs. This is what Evan had to say about the upcoming season.

“I am really excited to be racing on Transition Bikes this season! The TR450 begs me to push harder, jump farther, and has altogether raised my level of riding. The two best words to describe it: confidence inspiring! I’m pumped to get out there and shred on the new bikes! With the racing schedule shaping up nicely and the best companies in the business supporting me, 2011 is going to be a great year for myself and Transition!”

“Lars and the boys really impress me with their dedication to making awesome bikes that everyone wants to ride. I am proud to represent a true rider owned company and look forward to spreading the good word about their killer bikes!”

This is what Transition Bikes Lars Sternberg had to say about their support of Evan:

"I think bringing Evan on board is a step in the process of elevating US racing and racers once again. Evan is a great asset to Transition Bikes and equipping him with a full line of Transition Bikes will allow him to reach his goals for 2011 and beyond, whilst simultaneously building a brand ambassador in the Santa Cruz area. Evan will be competing for us on home soil, as well as select World Cup's, so keep an eye out It's going to be a great year!"

ABOUT TRANSITION BIKES
Our philosophy is simple, Rider Owned for Life since 2001. It is not a slick marketing slogan but something that defines who we are as a company. Connecting with our dealers and customers from a rider standpoint is our number one concern. Through outstanding and responsive customer service, and unique niche product design, we create and build relationships with our customers that are important to everyday riders and forgotten by larger companies. When you buy a Transition product you can be assured it has been tested in real world conditions by the same people that design them. We don't believe in using Catalog designs; everything is designed in house by us. Our goal is not to become a huge corporate brand but rather a company the average rider can believe in. Our customers are our family and we get immense joy from seeing them progress their riding to new levels right beside us.
