    A new start....

Feel free to post ride pics on here whenever. It's nice when people share ride photos from other places just to mix things up a bit. With that, we have pics from today's awesome ride in SD.

Today's ride was the last hoorah for Lovebunny's big brother, Andy, before he steps into fatherhood.
His twins are expected any day now until early May.
BTW, TJ suckest the most for flaking AGAIN on this ride.
Nice knowing you Teej. You're off the wagon.

The boys went up to the conifer forest in the East County.
Perfect, awesome and beautiful weather. Too good.

Top section and Edlubba shreds it.

Jason, newcomer to this trail, on Orv's Lobster. Good to see this bike in action again.

Andy, lovebunny's bro who actually shows up to rides.

Ed always takes different lines. :)

Not all shots came out good in the shady and fast corner section in the woods. It was a tad too dark.

    But it's pretty..

    Andy Warhol

Another group thundered by and it so happened to be a friend, Joy.
    She's a true ripper.

    Her riding buddy.

    Andy

A message to Ade Q -"In yo face, bitch!" Andy

Ed, looking smooth. Way to use up the fork's travel.

"Sh*t!! On the second run, guys.. I'll do it." -Jason

    Andy, picking his line.

Edlubba, trying to find his lines.

"What line?" -studly Jason the pinner.

Andy tried to ride the creek crossing. Stuffed!

    Grace.

    Andy flying through.

    Edlubba on the middle line.

"What line?" - Jason the destroyer

    Andy

    Jason.

    More singletrack goodness.

The exposed canyon area where it was about 140 degrees warmer.

    Edlubba

    Andy

    Jason

Like I said, Joy is a ripper and she pinned it.

Spring's almost done...not looking forward to the searing summer temps.

Andy catching up with Joy. Just about .02 sec behind. :)

Orvs relying on blind luck and an Asian bookoo drink in surviving sections like this.

Andy, near the bottom luge section.

    Run #2.
Less pictures were taken but Orvs got ahead enough to snap a few pics here and there.

Round 2 at the widow maker section.
Andy and Ed always like to rub it in on Adrian... Andy, smooth like butter.

    Ed gotz it.

    Andy too.

At this point, everybody's just craving carne asada plate for the anticpated Mexican post-ride grub ahead of them.

    Awesome ride!!
We wish Andy the best and good health for the upcoming twins.

Yeah, Tones, I haven't seen you since that last ride up there with your proto. We'll be there this afternoon but I won't be riding much.

You're gonna have to ask one of the mods to do that for you, Cal State Champ and Freeride Nation Invitational runner up. Pegboy was once the SoCal mod but he discriminately picked on racers and was stripped off of his e-godly powers. Rabie applied but was denied mod powers 13 times -in a row.

Since you mentioned, I saved some old memorable photos from the past. You know that VH1 show about one-hit wonders and old pop bands, "Where are they now?" Well, here's a buttmonkey version:

    IR Dan

He's an aide to a congressional candidate in Alaska.

    LOOnatic

He's back in Louisiana still waiting for his Redbull Rampage invitation.

    Tym

He moved to ATL and now wears lycra and rides XC. Traitor!

Lady Litton, Capt Cogset and Heidi.

Linda is now in Oregon living close to the now environmental activist, Heidi.
Capt. is still married to Heidi.
Heidi now patrols the intl waters with Greenpeace harrassing fishing boats fishing for mackarel, tuna and jelly fish.

    OCDH

grrr. Still with Yamaha and will be appearing on Maxim's next issue covering Girls of Dirt.
Yes, we have subscription to Maxim.
LOO in the background being all Rico-suave.

    BMXMAN and Riff Raff.

BMXMAN has moved to Canada and signed up with Norco with a few other Canadian sponsors to compete in sloestyle events.
Riff Raff is still faster than most of you young posers.

    spookydave

Responsible for scaring downhillzypher off of the forum and still can outclimb most of you young posers.

    speedjunkie

I think he became a model and moved to the east coast.

    dammit jim

He's still in a pacific island enslaving the indigineous for small profit.

    El Jefe

I think his band is touring Europe right now. I didn't know Duran Duran cover bands are big over there.

    Blong

He used to ride mountain bikes. He's still in SD riding singlespeed.

Pic of monkeys, half of them in jail at various CA low to medium security prisons.

    More old pics to come.

Heather's first road trip in the west coast ever...

The rack that barely survived during our road trip to SB.

    On the same ride:

I learned a lot riding the whole weekend on a hardtail with a fork that was way oversprung and with no working front and rear brakes.
It was a harsh but very fun weekend. :)

On the next few sets of pics, pretend we're all gays in the military. Don't ask and don't tell where these trails are.

This segment is dedicated to Sanjay when he was still not bigger than life.
He is now in South America filming the sequel to the movie, "Motorcycle Diaries."

This was when he would still ride with us mortals.
Ok, ride for us since we couldn't ride the sh*t he rides.

    Brian,

How's it going? Long time no see.
I'd love to see some better pictures of the rack you have there for your moto. I'm planning on making one for my KTM 950 so that I can travel with my DH bike as well.

    Orven,

I can't believe you still have all of those pictures. Those were definitely the good old days. Dropin curbs while riding shotgun in the grocery cart was at Northstar, right?

No I don't remember at all and I have no recollection. Are you in the witch hunt to drop trail locations?
That's as cool as saying "I know Brian Lopes."

Yup, Sanjs, that was at N*. It's opening back up this year!!!

Hey man. I've got to hear more about your south america trip. Did you ride Pucon (southern chile)? Cool trails there.

I've been riding singlespeed XC more than anything lately...but I still ride most of my bikes.

    Here's another pic...

I think you should've cut that tray in half, attached the silver strut straight to the crank arm, and you would have a sssick wheelie bar.

Do you make your girlfriend ride up there?

I love the rebirth of the gallery. I sold that proto to Seismic, waiting on parts for a Transition Gran Mal. More of a SoCal bike then the Brooklyn. Been breaking my azz at work and haven't riden in a few months now, just putting around the beach enjoying the views. I'll be around this month see you guys out there. This is the best thread on ridemonkey.

    Brian,

When I have more free time I'll write more about my trip. So far I've written about the first 4 days. I have 74 more to go.

    http://www.transcendmagazine.com/archives/2007/04/sanjays_great_a.html

    http://www.transcendmagazine.com/archives/2007/04/sanjays_adventu.html

I rode my moto through Pucon, but unfortunately couldn't stay and ride the mtb trails. I do now have a contact there that does DH tours, so when I go back next year I'm definitely making a longer stop in Pucon and will get some riding in.

As for the rack your seems nice and stable. I'm thinking about mounting my bike farther forward and maybe taking both wheels off so that the bike isn't hanging too far back. We'll see. I guess I just need some time and just start to tinker with it.

Edit: This is Sanjay on Vitox's computer. Too lazy to log out.

Took the digidy cam out on tonight's ride to see if I can make it to work. I still suck at it or I just plain hate this camera at night.

Oh yeah, for those interested, we do night rides in SD on Tues and Thurs nights.

Trail: Rice Canyon network, suburds of Tijuana
Downtown SD and Coronado down below.

edlubba, he hates downhilling, slopestyle, urban and urban assault.

New stunts. We brought our pinkbike measuring tape and depending on which spot you stand, this wooden bridge was measured to be about 15-16 pinkbike ft above ground. Sick.

whoever this was, he was squirrelly

    Ade Q

Tonight was a post-grievance nite ride for Ade.
Coming back from a trip in Ireland, he found out that his bike was stolen.
It's a SC Nomad with Fox DHX air, gayass gray color, gayass A-frame flat pedals. Fox fork. Sunline stem and bar. Stylo crankset, SRAM stuff. Stolen in National City, east side!!!

Night ride is good for the soul.

One Day, One Day... uhhh I mean night, one night, I'll sneak off of work early and join you guys. Only night rides I've done are with the IH around my hood with only a couple flights of stairs and a small loading dock to keep me smiling. Soon guys... soon.

In the DH forum, it's kinda funny to watch the dh tabloid media race for who can bring the news, pictures and updates, blah blah blah first --yet these are the same personalities that bitch about racing in general.

Anyways, I had to sit the race out this time around so we got to watch behind the tape. Heather and I switched our low-budget photography duties and skills, and I came to realize how crappy it is to just sit around in the dust and sun--in fontana.

blah blah blah..onto the low budget non-tabloid non-name dropping all racing pics.

    sup Ty!
I was 80% of the time at the Hutchinson booth and 20% all over the place at Sloth Otter Fest.. Hey, I'd like to hit up PV one of these days--soon. TYM has left us all. He's riding road these days in Georgia. F-in traitor.

Rest of the pics from the 07 Nats race day.

Waylon with a front flat. He will flat the rear on his final run to keep it balanced.

Kovarik. Pisses me off that they ended up with the same Royal jersey we picked earlier. F-er.

World Cup'ers can look akward on corners too.

    Then he stepped on it.

I think pros should mandatorily put their names on the back of their jerseys.
They all look friggin the same.
