Warm weather is gone for good around here. I have slowed down the last month and been sick too so my speed is down but it has actually been nice with a little slow time. Next couple of week will be slow too with a trip to Iceland, mother in law visit and birthday for the oldest son. However this week has been good with more riding ahead for the weekend. I have also adjusted my apparel to what to make me a little more comfortable. Among the things I have bought are some super nice Gore booties and a Pearl Izumi soft shell jacket. Should be a good winter if the road in the park stays snow free.

How are you guys and girls doing?

I've been doing well. I'm racing SS and A both days this weekend, then I have USGP finals next week, and the National Champs the following weekend. After that I'll be off for a bit to rest, relax, and spend time with the family. We've been unusually cold this year, which could make for interesting training conditions in Jan.

Weather has been great I had more problems getting rid of my cold this year. The cold that has been going around this year has been very persistent.

Same here, I had the flu about 2 weeks ago, and now I have been congested for a few days. Usually I don't seem to get sick very easily and it's still early in the winter. It's been surprisingly cold in Socal - when I left to ride yesterday at 7:30 it was 34 degrees. Hoping it doesn't stay this cold throughout the winter, as my first road season begins in February and I'm not sure how fun it would be to race in near-freezing temps. For the time being I'm trying to stick to a pretty strict training plan and have been trying to go from pretty minimal road fitness to race shape for the last few months. No pain no gain right?

Now that I'm done traveling for a while, I'm glad it's 24* out. Oh wait, I'm not.
But I just got some new winter clothes, so stoked to give them a go. Back in the saddle tomorrow, just need to dig up my thermal cap from storage...

Except for commuting, I laid off riding the last two weeks because my bad knee was really bad. Good news, the roads were FINALLY ice and snow free this morning for my ride. I need some new winter weight knee warmers. I hate tights.

Spent the last 20 minutes getting all my riding crap together to pedal in to work tomorrow. Gonna be 17 in the A.M. Wife and I were just having the discussion about whether or not I've achieved psychosis. :weee:
