The Firestone Classic is coming up again and I've recently learned that there will be a Dirt Jump Jam added to the schedule this year and I believe a Super-D as well! This is always the most fun race of the year with an awesome course and layed-back atmosphere. The downhill course is short (under 2 minutes) and smooth so you don't have to be in killer shape but it does have plenty of fun elements like jumps and drops to keep you stoked. It's a two-run format so the fun lasts all day and you get to race yourself by trying to best your first run.
This event is awesome and gets even better every year, come out and ride, camp, eat and chill for the weekend in beautiful Santa Barbara County. Bring your wife or girlfriend and go wine tasting on Sunday, the race is in Santa Ynez, smack dab in the heart of SB wine country. It's only a 3 hour drive from SC or the Bay in general.
