Of a real for sure honest to goodness road bike...
weird, but fastish

This whole time I've been riding a hybrid after work for a little excercise and to make me not suck so much wind when I go mountain biking with my friends. Well, my hybrid developed a couple of cracks in left dropout of the fork, which sucked, so I took it to the shop and it's going to take 2 weeks to warranty repair it. In the meantime I'm borrowing a friend's Trek 1000 (for the very simple reasons of wanting to ride an actual road bike and see how they feel as well as being able to actually push the big ring down a hill and go kinda fast). So yeah, it feels weird. How you hold the bars and brake is funky (on the hoods) riding in the drops is funky and I'm definately lower and more stretched out than on the hybrid. The one thing that TOTALLY felt better was sprinting, that felt way more comfy.

So ya, road bikes are kinda funky, but I did finish up my ride a little earlier than normal, so I guess that was kinda nice.
