Front Range, dude...
Experiencing a strange jamming/resistance in the rear EC70 hub...if I tighten the QR appropriately. If it is looooooooose (Too loose for common sense and safety...) it will spin correctly. Also have a chain suck problem if its appropriately snugged. Initially thought the BB was grenaded, and replaced same, but now thinking its the freehub. How does one test/diagnose freehub issues?

This is the same bike that took a bite out of the last cassette it had mounted on it...

where the trails are
Take the cassette off
Remove axle and free hub body
Inspect for worn our broken pawls
Clean, oil, reinstall.
Congratulate yourself and have a beer.

Easton hub with issues? Say it ain't so!

I'll second the tear down, clean, inspect and relube suggestion.

I've had this issue with other shitty hubs and the solution was machining new parts to replace the original internals, turns out sweet cream butter is great on toast, but makes horrible hub internal parts.

I had a similar problem on an I-9 rear wheel. The bearing tension cap was too loose and when the wheel was mounted in the frame it caused the whole set up to bind. Had the same symptoms including chain suck. Good luck with it.
