Crankbrothers Mallet 3 - $120
Crankbrothers went back to the drawing board with its popular Mallet pedals. The top-tier Mallet 3 now sports a two-piece aluminum-polycarbonate platform, investment-cast steel wings, adjustable traction pins and both needle (inner) and cartridge (outer) bearings. The new pedal weighs in at 435 grams and is backed by a five-year warranty.

Smith Fuel V.2 Sweat-X goggles - $65
Clear vision is a pretty valuable asset when you’re going fast, and good goggles are an important piece of equipment in every gravity rider’s kit bag. Smith’s Fuel V.2 Sweat-X goggles provide a nice, solid fit with full-face helmets, and their easy-to-operate, removable “roll-offs” keep your vision clearer than most windshield wipers. Best of all, they won’t litter the trail like tear-offs often do.

Chain-L Lube - $12
Wet lubes, dry lubes…there seems to be a lubricant for every occasion. The maker of Chain-L, however, contends that this high-mileage, thick-as-honey lube works well in every possible condition. Chain-L is a mixture of extreme pressure (EP) lubricants in a high film-strength mineral oil base. The lubricant also contains rust inhibitors and other additives to improve its longevity and wet-weather performance. Chain-l claims you can ride as far 1,000 miles before needing to reapply this lube.
