Waking. Haley was up watching TV when I came downstairs at 5:30. I forgot to take the tablet, which has controls for the TV.
Finished the first of my 12 books for my current study material last night. I should be finishing book 2 by Sunday. Thankfully I'm getting out of math and into theory, of which I already know a lot, so things should move more quickly. My spare time will be study time until mid-June. That climbing wall isn't getting built until fall
Week's almost over...

In hell. Welcome!
Day of executive meetings with executive brains in executive clothes saying executive things. Our executives yell when they hear facts about reality that don't align with their uneducated expectations so this will be fun.

Mornin!

Back in the office today. Got the new Shimano XT brake installed on the trail bike last night and was impressed enough that I ordered up another to replace the still functioning rear brake. Could this be the end of an era? I've been running Avid brakes almost exclusively (brief Hayes/Hope interlude) for the past 16'ish years.

Snow up in the mountains. Younger kid puked everywhere overnight. We cleaned her up including an impromptu overnight bath and shower and I ended up sleeping with her, wife in the room with the elder kid who thankfully went right back to sleep.

Met up with Mr and Mrs @6thElement yesterday, had a couple of good beers and discussed some summer ride planning.
Great to see you two!
Great thing about riding with those two is they are gracious enough not to rub it in your face when they drag your meat around the mountains. Nary a peep from either when I bonked hardcore on a ride a few years back and had to walk a few miles up a big climb. :D

Nowhere Man!
My friend (I use that term loosely) needs work done on his property. A creek scoured out his driveway. Basically he cannot get from one side to the other were his camp is. Also the earth has gone down the hill into his neighbors driveway. He does not want to pay for a professional help. So he woke me up yesterday. Determined I wasn't going to do anything worthwhile. I went there under the guise of offering my opinion as to how he should proceed. I ended up getting in the backhoe and redoing his driveway. It was a wet muddy effort. We pushed dirt and rocks around mostly for our enjoyment. I got to beat the eff out of his Truck and that was fun. We ate food and drank beer on his dime... I broke his neighbors chain saw by running it over after it fell out of the truckbed. Today he was back. He expected me to go back down there and give it another go. I told him no.... He is pissed.

don't start a job you have no intention of finishing.
