Now it is snowing like hell. S'posed to continue til maybe 4 PM, then rain forever.
You should start open carrying in the office.Fuck this shit.
I'm kind of anxiously waiting (not positively such) for the (R) to vote for the ACHA. That way I can walk over to my 65 y/o colleague on Medicare and thank him for voting for Trump. If that passes, I will not be able to get insurance outside of my current company because of preexisting conditions - epilepsy. My drugs retail cost $10k/quarter. If I have to pay that, a very large percentage of my salary will go to my drugs, taking me from a being a contributing member of society, spending ~$20k/yr on general consumer goods, to one dependent on the healthcare sector. I've got a whole bunch of "fuck you's" for you Justin and Rick. The only other option is to drive to Canada and buy drugs there retail, forcing me to smuggle prescription drugs back to the US.
Fuck this country. I should have gotten my UK citizenship when my parents got married (I was a minor). At least then I'd have the choice to leave.
They want you in New Zealand...<snip>

At least you can afford it.....My drugs retail cost $10k/quarter. If I have to pay that, a very large percentage of my salary will go to my drugs.
you've already begun calling it the "stupid bike". I'm glad you're coming to your senses! Soon it will sit unused in a corner of your apartment, and by next summer, it will have been sold, and you can have your card back!Hi.
It is currently raining here and supposed to continue doing so for another few days. This means more time on the stupid bike. Not that I'm complaining, at least it isn't snowing.
Its always been stupid. But it lets me ride when otherwise I wouldn't be able to..you've already begun calling it the "stupid bike". I'm glad you're coming to your senses! I realize that I am lucky from that standpoint, but it also effectively ties me to my company indefinitely, as I already have the coverage here.At least you can afford it.....
Oh, I agree and assume the same, but I'm not gambling on it.@stoney not saying it will pass, but I have a feeling it aint going to pass. A lot of the folks who loved to bitch about ACA now realize that it is actual work to repeal and replace it, better or otherwise. I think enough folks in the public have let the folks in Washington know they aren't happy with the AHCA as written and the tweaks they keep trying to make only make it worse.

You could just pay COBRA in unemployment. That shouldn't be more than, say, $1500/mo.I realize that I am lucky from that standpoint, but it also effectively ties me to my company indefinitely, as I already have the coverage here.
Life saving medicine or yogurt and pineapple for lunch....choose wiselyI realize that I am lucky from that standpoint, but it also effectively ties me to my company indefinitely, as I already have the coverage here.
CO only has 6 months unemployment. You could just pay COBRA in unemployment. That shouldn't be more than, say, $1500/mo.
Mine was $1800 just for me and child, I don't know many folks you can swing COBRA, it is a scam. You could just pay COBRA in unemployment. That shouldn't be more than, say, $1500/mo.
Say what? Is that backpack with a speech disorder?we are going to get him a bath k pay k
I thought it has something to do with bath salts.Say what? Is that backpack with a speech disorder?
My early retirement plans hinged on Obamacare; I currently enjoy legacy benefits that would not be matched as a new hire in a different company. It covers Humira which is exceptionally expensive.I realize that I am lucky from that standpoint, but it also effectively ties me to my company indefinitely, as I already have the coverage here.
