What do y'all think of this bike? I've got a chance to pick one up at a killer price! i'm a XC rider who rides about 3 times a week and races in beginner class several times a year. Thoughts? Thanks!
Giant NRS 3?

Two of my riding buddies have them. One is a 2002 NRS 3 and the other is a 2003.
Both bikes are outstanding and ride well. I've put more than a few miles (hey bud, let's trade) on the 2002, and it's faster and smoother than it feels when you lift it, even though it's not heavy anyway. The 2003 is almost identical, but has a few upgrades: frame gussets are molded in, the Mosquito tires from 2002 were ditched (fine if you weigh 150, maybe, but crap otherwise) and the fork is more reliable than the Judy Air that came in 2002. Both bikes have Avid brakes and Titec parts, very nicely specced for the price point they're at. Which is $1300 or so at Performance right now...

It's a very good bike, but just be aware it doesn't use the same version of the SID shock in the rear as the NRS 1 & 2.
