first day i did 3 runs then flatted my back. I just got off line
and hit that one rock. the speed i am going with the tires i have
it's you are on line or you will flat.
so, i went to the hardwear store ant got the cheepest 27'' road
tires. they have a lower thread count and thick side rubber. I slit
them radialy in half and used them to DB my sidewalls. I did flat
once more but with 45 psi in there i was able to go a little off line
and survive my race run for a 5th place in pro. i came to get top 5
and did. the track had some climbs and flat section and was not that
ruff. prime for 29. some news on 2.5 nevagals getting done soon but
they will still be single ply.
i am going to try sewing a tire after getting a call from a RM member
that had luck with it.
I figured that time was a bit off but I didn't stick around to investigate. I had you in 5th though on my mental scorecard also. Nice getup btw! Team BCD is all about style you can tell. You should post a pic of your chainless racer also.
http://www.schlumpf.ch/schlumpf_engl.htm is the site for the bb drive. Florian is the man over there and a good one at that. I have the bb chamfer tool here to pass around if you ever decide to do one let me know.
At some point I'll work up a post about the whole AB
UV (auxilary bicycle utility vehicle) thing with lurid photos and details.
