This new team slalom series at Highland Mountain will take place on Saturday afternoons throughout the summer. This series is designed for EVERYONE from experienced slalom ninjas to riders that have never even been down a slalom course before. At each race, Highland coaches will be on hand to help you further hone in your slalom skills. Dont have a team? No big deal, here at Highland we can put a team together for you, so come get your shred on!
Dates:
* GS3 #1 Saturday June 5th
* GS3 #2 Saturday June 19th
* GS3 #3 Saturday July 24th
* GS3 #4 Saturday August 21st, Series Finals
Each race will start at 3:00pm giving you plenty of time to practice beforehand.
Format:
Teams will be made up of 4 racers; the sum of the top 3 racers will score points for their team. Each racer will take 2 race runs each race day, one red course and one blue course. Points will be based on the following;
* Winning your heat
* Your improvement from the previous race
* Participation
* Whether you can beat the pacesetter
Your combined time from the previous weeks race will seed you and determine who you race the following race night. So even if your winning your heat, dont let up, your time will count for seeding in the next race. The way this points system is based even if your team isnt superstar racers you can still pull off the series victory.
