Anyone know a way to fix the crazy play in the lever? I've replaced 'em but after a month, pullin the lever is like ringin the dinner bell. Lemme know if you guys have rigged yerz. thx

Get some 1mm thick washers and use them like bushings between the lever and the piston.

Which model? If its first generation where you remove a small split ring and take out the pivoy pin, you can try shimming with some thin washers. It helped mine somewhat but there was still play and if shimmed any more there was binding. The newer model has a pin that is pressed in or out and has plastic bushings on the pin ends. I have not tried it but I assume you could replace those bushings to remove excess play?

I found that by getting rid of the hayes pin and replacing it with the right size bolt and a few nylon washers I got a much better feeling lever. Make sure you get a nyloc nut or it'll fall off. The nice thing about doing it this way is that you can tighten it to the feel/play that you want. It doesnt look the nicest though.
